Education Requirements

Required education and experience

  • At least 1 year of full cycle recruiting experience with at least 6 months in the transportation industry preferred, but we will train the right person.
  • Overall understanding of hiring practices, DOT regulations and the transportation industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity and experience with applicant tracking systems (we use DriverReach) preferred.
  • Good driving record.

Qualifications

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Successfully perform full-cycle recruitments for Class A CDL Drivers. This includes creating an excellent candidate experience.
  • Ensure candidates meet hiring and insurance requirements
  • Must have a persistence and sense of urgency to hit and exceed driver recruitment goals
  • Perform research and develop target lists of industry related companies to aid in proactive sourcing efforts.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of employment laws, DOT regulations and the transportation industry
  • Excellent communicator and listener who is assertive yet personable and flexible
  • Experience in sourcing and building relationships with passive candidates utilizing tools such as DriverReach LinkedIn as well as local/national networks
  • Strong interviewing skills which allow you to communicate with the candidate in an honest, open dialogue which allows you to see if the driver is a match for the company and if the company is a match for them.
  • Responsible for understanding our different driving opportunities and the drivers job functions
  • Work to create meaningful relationships with potential candidates
  • Use a will-to-win attitude to overcome obstacles and objections to push through to success
  • Utilize applicant tracking software (DriverReach) to manage candidates
  • Maintain superior customer service with candidates, internal departments and Driver Employment associates
