Pay & Benefits

What is the pay structure for drivers?

Pay varies by position, schedule, location, and experience. We offer competitive rates with guaranteed weekly pay for most schedules. Contact us to learn more about pay specifics tailored to your experience and route.

Do you pay detention or layover?

Yes. Detention pay applies after waiting more than two hours past your appointment time, and layover pay is provided for extended wait times. These are in addition to your regular pay.

What benefits do you offer

We provide a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability coverage, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, and more.

Is home time prioritized?

Absolutely. We understand the importance of family and make every effort to ensure drivers get scheduled home time.

Do you have a Driver Referral Program?

Yes! Current drivers can earn $2,000 for referring a qualified new driver, paid in three large installments in just 60 days.

Do you have a Driver’s Lounge?

We do! Our “Take 10” Driver’s Lounge includes 24/7 access to laundry, shower facilities, a fitness center, kitchen, a large lounge area and two private lounge rooms. Oh, and a pinball machine.

Is there a wash bay for drivers to utilize?

Yes, there is an on-site double wash bay with 24/7/365 access to drivers for cleaning tractor, trailer, trailer wash-outs and even your pre-trip inspection on a cold winter day (it’s heated). We also have an account at Blue Beacons should your truck and/or trailer need to be washed while over-the-road. We highly encourage drivers to keep their trucks clean (inside and out) to represent Midwest Carriers in a professional manner.

Hiring & Qualifications

How do I apply or check my application status?

Apply online or call our Driver Employment team at 920-462-5037 if you ever have a question about employment or your application.

Are you hiring?

Yes! We regularly have openings for OTR, regional, and local drivers. Explore current

What experience is required?

Typically, we look for at least one year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the last three years. However new CDL grads are encouraged to apply, as we have a finishing program that is dependent on trainer availability.

Do you hire SAP drivers?

We evaluate every applicant holistically. Please submit a full application for consideration.

Where do you hire from?

We are always hiring drivers out of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Our lanes run primarily east of the Mississippi River, so if you live anywhere on the eastern side of the country, we encourage you to call our Driver Employment team to see if your location is a good fit.
