Each year, we look forward to a night that’s all about the heart of Midwest Carriers—our people. This year’s President’s Club and Awards Banquet was no exception, as we presented truck driver awards to show our pride and appreciation for our drivers’ hard work, commitment and community spirit.
Recognizing Remarkable Driving Records
This year, 44 Midwest Carriers drivers were nominated for the WMCA President’s Safe Driver Club, alongside four drivers from Osborn Trucking. To be considered, drivers must log 350,000 miles without a ticket or accident, a testament to their professionalism and dedication to safety.
This year’s truck driver safety award honorees represent:
- 394 years of accident- and ticket-free driving
- Over 50 million accident- and ticket-free miles
- An estimated 40 prevented accidents on our nation’s highways
Milestones and Mentorship Truck Driver Awards
We honored 26 drivers for major years-of-service milestones and celebrated six retirements. Four outstanding mentors who set strong examples of leadership and guidance were also recognized:

- Ken Lahr
- Pat Quinlan
- Tim Jones
Truck Driver Recognition Awards
A few standout honors from the night include:
- Osborn Driver of the Year: Dave Monroe
- Shuttle Driver of the Year: Danielle Vandenberg
- Top Fuel Purchase Points: Tom Jeppeson
- Top Fleet MPG Award: Mario Botha
- Top Mileage Award: Tom Jeppeson
- Co-Drivers of the Year: Tom Jeppeson and Lenny Porte
These drivers embody the best of what it means to drive with purpose and pride.
An Evening to Remember
The generosity of our customers and vendor partners helped make the night extra special. They donated prizes that included coveted items such as tickets for Packers games, Billy Joel and the Milwaukee Mile. Many gift cards and gift baskets were also donated.
